Dr. Eliot J. Young
Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine
Dr. Young graduated as an AOA Honor Society member from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1993. After graduating from the family medicine program at Madigan Army Medical Center, he joined the teaching faculty there. He completed a one-year fellowship in teaching (Faculty Development) at the University of Washington in Seattle.
In 2000, Dr. Young resigned from the military and joined the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine faculty, where he was instrumental in the creation and development of the primary care sports medicine fellowship. He is now the director of the Sports Medicine program.
Dr. Young serves as team physician for the AHL San Antonio Rampage, WNBA Silver Stars, San Antonio Missions baseball, the University of Incarnate Word and several local high schools. He is a volunteer physician with USA Basketball and USA Swimming, and is the local medical director for the San Antonio Rock n’ Roll Marathon. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.
